שִׁיבּוֹלֶת, שִׁבּוֹ׳, שִׁבֹּלֶתf. (b. h.; שבל, Shaf. of יבל; cmp. יְבוּל) 1) ear of corn, spike. Peah V, 2 ש׳ שבקצירוכ׳ a single ear (that remained uncut when the cutting took place, but) the top of which reached up to the standing. corn: if (by its position) it might have been cut with the standing corn Midr.
